This weekend Mikey and I were able to go to Michigan to see David and Sharon WITHOUT kids! A lot of times when we go there it is so busy with all different kinds of plans but this weekend we just went with the flow and did whatever we wanted. On Friday we went to Mi Pueblo which is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. They have really strong margaritas and I would like to blame them for my lack of self control when we went to Kohl's afterwards. I did break my shopping fast :( Not horribly, just a few tops but really I didn't need them but I couldn't resist. I really was disappointed in myself because right now I have something VERY important to save for. I definitely learned a lesson that day... no more drinking before shopping!!! I also decided that I haven't given my father enough reasons to disapprove of me lately so I went and got my nose pierced.

Saturday we went to my favorite city, Ann Arbor. Every time we visit there I fall more and more in love with that town! It is so full of cute shops and amazing restaurants and the people there are beyond friendly. I keep telling my husband that we are relocating there some day but I am not sure I have him convinced. We had lunch at this super delicious restaurant  Grizzly Peak Brewery. David and I decided to share a 9 beer sampler. We had intended on having half of each beer but the were a few that I was not too fond of. Of course, my brother didn't let them sit full for too long ;)

We also got to see our first roller derby bout which was definitely a new experience for me. It was cool to see but I guess I am too much of a pacifist to really get into it. I just couldn't understand why those girls would willingly sign up for letting other girls bash into them while trying to stay upright on skates! Sharon on the other hand is not so passive and recently joined a roller derby team so it looks like we will be seeing more of them!

The only downfall to the whole weekend was having to say goodbye to David and Sharon. You think after them living there for almost 5 years I would be used to it by now but it never gets easier. Luckily we do manage to usually see them every month.
